Kate is a Venture Associate at 500 Startups where she works closely with Venture Partners to find investment opportunities and offer mentorship expertise to startups as part of the accelerator’s program. Kate also works with more than 2,000 portfolio companies, offering post-investment support in legal and finance-related matters, as well as follow-up investments. She is the link between portfolio companies and legal, financial and investment teams.
Before joining the investment team, Kate managed the core acceleration program at 500 Startups in San Francisco, where she created content, worked with a community of mentors and investors, participated in startup selection and oversaw operations.
Kate was born in Ukraine where she was part of a team that launched one of the first accelerators in the country. She worked with startups for the most part, organizing numerous internal and international events that included a month-long exchange program in Silicon Valley. Before joining 500 Startups, Kate worked in an online education startup in the Bay Area as a co-founder.
